FAQ’s for PSOE

How does the conversion to the VI program work?

Once you speak to our VI representative and have all of your questions answered, you will receive the member documents necessary to facilitate a smooth transition.

How many VI points will I receive?
Based upon your PSOE ownership, for each week owned, you will receive 112 VI points annually. If you own a PSOE week every other year, you will receive 112 VI points, every other year.

How long will my VI membership last?
You will receive a perpetual (forever) membership in the VI program. You may also transfer your VI membership to family or friends, who will then have the rights and obligations associated with the VI membership.

When will my VI membership begin?
VI Points are allocated on July 1st. Your first allocation of VI Points will be allocated on July 1, 2019. VI operates on a use year that begins on July 1 and ends on June 30 of each year. 

How much is the maintenance fee?
The VI operating fund assessment (maintenance fee) is billed per points owned – currently at $7.98 (USD) per point. The Use Year runs July 1 through June 30. You will receive your VI annual operating fund statement July 1, and have the option of paying in full by July 31st (USD) or paying monthly with a 1% finance charge.

Is VI a stable company?
Vacation Internationale (VI) is one of the oldest points-based clubs in North America, with 43 resort locations and 43,000 members. How can I be assured that my VI timeshare is secure?
VI units are held in a debt-free real estate trust for the benefit of all VI members, which ensures the security of a VI membership. As new contracts are sold, additional units will be added at new or existing resort locations to maintain a balance between VI contracts and units in the program. All VI units are protected against any encumbrance, sale, or attachment of the units by creditors of VI or VI’s developer.

What are some of the VI Benefits?

  • Availability for VI resorts can be found online at You may confirm your reservation online or speak to a VI Owner Services representative.
  • No housekeeping fees are charged at VI resorts, only the $20 Booking Fee, collected at the time of booking.
  • Saving points with VI is automatic with no associated charge. With saving/borrowing, you have access to to 4 years’ worth of points. (annual owner)
  • Bonus Time is available at VI’s resorts for rates as low as $70 per night, within 15 days of arrival.
  • Book reservations at VI resorts up to one year in advance.
  • No guest fees.
  • All fees are collected in US Dollars.

Do I have a home resort at VI?
A home resort is not needed, you can vacation at any resort location in the VI Program, in any unit size, any season, for any length of time. The beauty of the VI Program is that flexibility is built in. You choose what works for you.

Other than the 43 resort locations, what else does VI offer?
VI secures over 2,000 exchange weeks each year, in areas we know that our VI Owners desire – these weeks are made available to our Owners through our Instant Exchange Program for a nominal exchange fee + VI Points.

Will I have access to Bonus Time?
As a VI Owner, all VI resort locations are available at VI Bonus Time rates within 15 days of arrival, starting at $70 (USD) per night, based upon condo size and availability.

Will this affect my RCI exchange membership and reservations?

RCI Points: Your RCI Points membership will not be affected. You will continue to pay your annual membership fee directly to RCI. You will be able to access your RCI account through the VI website and your points will show in VI-point amounts. Your points will not be deducted from RCI until the reservation is confirmed. If you have saved points within RCI, those points will remain in your RCI account and you will be able to utilize them as long as they are valid.

  • The ratio to RCI Points is 420 to 1 (example: 112 VI points = 47,040 RCI points).

RCI Weeks: Your RCI Weeks membership will not be affected. You will continue to pay your annual membership fee directly to RCI. All RCI week deposits will be in your RCI weeks account for you to use (subject to their expiration). All reservations confirmed through RCI using your PSOE weeks deposit are valid.

Will this affect my Interval International exchange membership and reservations?
Your Interval International membership is not affected. If you have future reservations, or banked weeks, they are secure. As a VI Owner, you are able to transact on the Interval International website using your VI points. VI also has an exclusive phone number with Interval International. There are a few differences in how you use your II membership.

  • There is a specific line for VI Owners to book into Interval International or book online at
  • You no longer will need to “bank” a week, just simply request the resort or destination using the point scale available on our website. VI receives a report from II and deducts the points from your VI account. If you do not have enough points to cover the reservation, you will be billed for the difference at current per point rental rate of $11.00 per point.
  • Your II membership number will not change
  • Any previous deposits will remain in your II account
