Renovation/Construction Projects
Deck Work: 

There will be work on the guest room decks in the main building from May 20th - June 1st, 2024.  There will be some noise during the hours of 9AM - 5PM

Travel Info
Gas Stations: 

There are no gas stations in Sun Peaks.  The closest is in Heffley Creek 35.5 Kilometers (21.5 miles) from the resort.

From October 1 – May 1, vehicles must be prepared with either snow tires and/or snow chains. Please be aware that there are no gas stations nor gasoline available in Sun Peaks.  The closest gas station is at Hefley Creek, approximately 32 km (20 miles) downhill from the resort.

After-Hours Check-In: If checking in after 7:00pm, please call 1-250-574-8966 before 7pm to arrange after hours entry.

 

Resort Activities

Due to rising costs, Pinnacle Lodge will no longer be serving afternoon tea.

Resort activities and fees are subject to change at any time due to weather conditions, group sizes, interest and/or season. See resort for times and availability at check-in.

  • Mountain Trail Bikes in summer and Snowshoes in winter are complimentary for your use.

Fees/Taxes

Fines: The following fines will be assessed for non-compliance.

Over-occupancy policy: $50.00 per person, per night. Occupancy limits apply to all ages including infants.

No pet policy: $350.00. Pets are not allowed at VI Resorts. 

No smoking policy: $350.00. Smoking is not allowed in rooms, decks, lanais or patios.

Late check-out policy: $25.00. Charged every half hour after check-out time of 11:00am.

Key replacement fee: $50.00 

Breakfast: Pinnacle Lodge serves breakfast every morning, however, will no longer serve an afternoon tea, but tea will be available until 5PM daily.  Breakfast times:Ski season: 8:00am - 9:30am  All other seasons: 8:30am - 10:00am

The mandatory Food & Beverage Fee will be charged upon check-in. The cost per pers/night will be:

  • CAD $19.00 + tax (13 years and older)
  • CAD $10.00 + tax (6-12 years old)
  • Free under 5 
Parking: Garage parking is available for CAD$11.00 per vehicle, per day (plus tax). Outside parking is available at no charge for one vehicle per unit during your stay. There is a $10 energy fee if you want to charge your electric vehicle in the garage, on top of the parking fee. If you charge your vehicle outside of the garage you will just have to pay the $10 energy fee. 
Onsite charges at VI Managed resorts in Canada: All payments taken at VI managed resorts in Canada (Clock Tower, Rosewood, Royal Victoria Suites, and Pinnacle Lodge), are processed in Canadian currency. These charges include applicable taxes and incidentals (including food and beverage fees at Pinnacle Lodge).

Taxes:  All reservations made for travel to VI Resorts in Canada will be charged Canada’s (PST/GST) tax.  Taxes for reservations to non-VI managed resorts, including VI at Rosedale on Robson, will be added to members account and billed after travel.
