Emergency Info
Current Mandates
  • The Hawaii Pre-Travel Testing Program began October 15th. With a negative result of your COVID-19 test within 72 hours of travel, from a trusted testing partner, you may bypass the mandatory 14-day quarantine.
  • IMPORTANT UPDATE as of November 24: If test results are not available prior to departure for the State of Hawaii, the traveler must quarantine for 14 days or the length of the stay, whichever is shorter.
  • Current state and local mandates do not allow guests to quarantine at any VI resort locations. Guests needed to quarantine must do so at an approved hotel (at your own cost).

  • Prior to travel, you will need to register and complete health forms located at
  • Should you wish to cancel your upcoming reservation to Hawaii, you may do so, without any penalty for travel through December 15, 2020. The VI Points used to book the reservation will go back to their original status.
  • Upon check-in at the resort, you will be required to show proof of a negative COVID-19 test for each member of your party. You will be required to sign a release of liability.
  • Please note that local activities and tourist attractions may be impacted during your stay, along with Covid-19 protocols that may limit onsite amenities.


Renovation/Construction Projects
Beach Erosion Sandbag Project

To protect the beach area in front of Valley Isle from further erosion, projects to add more sandbags and other remediation occurs throughout the year. Our complete shoreline is now covered in sandbags.

There is currently NO beach access.

Rebuild of Lobby and Commercial Building(08/17/2020 - 06/2021)

The Valley Isle AOAO is very excited to announce they have received approval to rebuild the lobby and 2-story commercial building that was lost in a fire 8 years ago.

The work began on August 17, 2020 and will take 9-10 months to complete.  As with any construction project, there will be construction materials, dust fence, potential noise, temporary walkway/entrance to the resort through the pool area, a temporary construction office and contractors coming and going throughout the work days.

There will be some inconveniences. Parking will be limited during the reconstruction project. Thank you for your patience and understanding.

Until further notice, the new office hours are 8:00am - 5:00pm, daily.

COVID-19 Mandates: There may be local, county and government Covid-19 mandates at each location that onsite staff are following, along with potential restrictions to onsite and local amenities. Check the Emergency section above for the latest information provided by the resort.

Valley Isle check-in office hours are 8:00 am - 5:00 pm, Monday through Thursday and 8:00 am through 9:00 pm, Friday through Sunday.  For late arrivals, please call 1.800.262.4048, for instructions.

EZ Access Unit: If you have specific accommodation needs due to mobility or accessibility, please contact your Owner Services representative at 1.800.444.6633 to discuss your options. Due to the age and the structure of the building some units are not accessible for guests with mobility issues.

EZ Access Unit is located on the ground floor.

EZ Access Unit offers: roll-in shower, shower chair & lowered sink/countertop.

Air Conditioning:  Units do not have air conditioning but are equipped with ceiling fans.

WIFI: Complimentary WIFI is available in your condominium.

Parking:  A parking permit is required and one parking stall is available per unit.

Beach Access: The beach located in front of the resort is being undermined by the ever changing ocean swells and waves, currents, and tidal effects. For several reasons, (climate change, new ocean cycles, etc.) these effects are occurring throughout Hawaii, including up and down the West Maui coast. There is currently NO beach access.
Resort Activities


Fines: The following fines will be assessed for non-compliance.

Over-occupancy policy: $50.00 per person, per night. Occupancy limits apply to all ages including infants.

No pet policy: $350.00. Pets are not allowed at VI Resorts. 

No smoking policy: $350.00. Smoking is not allowed in rooms, decks, lanais or patios.

Late check-out policy: $25.00. Charged every half hour after check-out time of 11:00am.

Accommodations/Lodging Tax:  As required by state and local regulations, this nightly tax rate is based on condominium size  and season.

$2.00 room key replacement fee

$50.00 after-hours safe lock out fee

$15.00 lost or damaged pool towels fee

Crib/rollway rental- $5.00 per night

$1.00 per page to send a fax, $.50 a page to receive

Studio & 1 bedroom-$50.00, 2 bedroom-$100.00 requested unit change fee (this fee is assessed not due to issues with the unit; just preference).

Mid-stay cleans (no fee) only occur for stays of more than 9 nights. Additional maid service requested will be charged the following fees based on unit size: Studio-$50.00, 1 bedroom-$60.00, 2 bedroom-$85.00.

The following fees will be assessed for linen exchanges based on unit size: Studio & 1 bedroom-$15.00, 2 bedroom-$20.00.
