Emergency Info

 Update for the city of Palm Springs:

  • Face coverings are now required at all indoor establishments for both vaccinated and unvaccinated people.
  • Proof of vaccination or a negative Covid test within 72 hours is required at all restaurants and bars.  
  • Proof of vaccination or a negative Covid test within 72 hours is required at all large events outdoor or indoor. Effective immediately
  • Face coverings are required at Village Fest.  This is an event held on Thursday evenings in downtown Palm Springs.

Renovation/Construction Projects
  • Bocce Ball Court: The Bocce ball court will be closed until further notice. We are waiting on parts to complete the renovation and do not have an estimated time of when they will be received
  • Pool 5 will be closed from 12/06/21-12/17/21 for deck repair. 


Travel Info
Highway 60 Construction

The 60 Truck Lanes Project will widen a 4.5-mile section of State Route 60 between Gilman Springs Road and 1.4 miles west of Jack Rabbit Trail through incorporated Riverside County’s Badlands between Moreno Valley and Beaumont.

The project lies within mountainous terrain with a curving alignment and steep grades. The project is designed to improve safety and efficiency and to reduce traffic congestion.

Construction will take place from late May 2019 to approximately late 2021.

Information on Local Mandates

  • All bars, restaurants, movie theaters, indoor museums are open at 25% capacity, until further notice.
  • Hair salons and barber shops are open with appointment.
  • Face masks are required both outside and inside.

California State has put together "Strike Teams" that investigate any notifications of non-compliance and will shut down those not following the rules.

Resort Info
California Drought Water Policy

The Oasis Resort is located in the Coachella Valley which is part of the Sonoran Desert. Water conservation is a priority, and now with mandated water conservation measures issued by both the State of CA and our local Desert Water Agency (DWA), VI is even more proactive on our water use at the Oasis. To meet our 36% goal of reduction:
  • Watering has been set between 10 pm and 6 am three (3) nights a week
  • drought-resistant desert landscaping is now in place


Access: There are no elevators. The majority of units are ground level with no interior stairs.

  • Studio EZ and One Bedroom EZ Access units are equipped with a roll-in shower instead of a tub.
  • Two Bedroom Den EZ Access units do not have roll-in showers but low-rise bath tubs.
  • EZ Access Units are located on the ground floor.

EZ Access Unit: If you have specific accommodation needs due to mobility or accessibility, please contact your Owner Services representative at 1.800.444.6633 to discuss your options. Due to the age and the structure of the building some units are not accessible for guests with mobility issues.

BBQs - All VI units are equipped with an electric BBQ in the patio/deck.

Bikes: Two bicycles come with each unit. Helmets are not provided.

Golf and Tennis: For information, please contact the VI Front Desk.

Pools and Hot Tubs: All pools/hot tubs are non-smoking. All pools/hot tubs are heated during the winter months, approximately October through April. During the warm months, late spring through early fall, the pools are not heated.

WIFI: VI has upgraded internet accessibility at the Oasis to provide free WIFI in all condominiums, as well as at the main pool and clubhouse.


Resort Activities

Activities have now resumed at the resort. Please speak with the front desk for more information.


Fines: The following fines will be assessed for non-compliance.

Over-occupancy Policy: $50.00 per person, per night. Occupancy limits apply to all ages including infants.

No Pet Policy: $350.00. Pets are not allowed at VI Resorts. 

No Smoking Policy: $350.00. Smoking is not allowed in rooms, decks, lanais or patios.

Late Check-out Policy: $25.00 charged every half hour after check-out time of 11:00am.

Keys: Charges will occur if Front Gate Keys, Bike Keys, Room Keys, or Garage Door Openers are not returned upon check-out.

Lost Room Key Fee: $2.00

Lost or Damaged Pool Towels Fee: $25.00

Lost Bike Fee: $150.00

Lost Garage Key Fee: $25.00

Lost Bike Lock or Cable Fee: $50.00

Lost Garage Remote Fee: $50.00

Lost Garage Side Door Key Fee: $25.00 

Amazon Fire TV Stick: Increase your entertainment options with the Amazon Fire TV stick available at the Oasis resort. Use the Fire TV stick with your own account to view Netflix, Amazon Instant Video, Hulu Plus, Movies, On Demand sports, music, and games from the comfort of your unit. Request the Fire TV Stick at the Front Desk. Cost is $1 a day with a $ 50.00 refundable deposit.
